Lincoln Day Dinner February 2009

Almost forty years ago, a group of Orange County Republican business owners, CEO's, ranchers, professionals and other Republicans grew tired of contributing to candidates and the party and having little to say about how their donations were used. They decided to put enough people and funds together to become a force in their area and formed the Lincoln Club of Orange County, which has become one of the most influential Republican organizations in the state.

There are now Lincoln Clubs in most of the larger counties. Each is independent and can endorse in a primary, can endorse and support candidates in non-partisan elections, can donate to committees, can support and donate to initiatives, and can endorse and donate in County Republican Central Committee elections.

The Ventura County Lincoln Club generally supports Mainstream Republican candidates and causes. The objective is to help the party, founded by Lincoln and reinvigorated by President Reagan, strive to become the majority party and lead Ventura County and California to a bright and prosperous future.
